We all know that Firefox remember all your passwords and cookies, so you don't have to re-type them every time you access your mail, stack exchange or any other site that requires password

but when you format your device Firefox forget all this credentials, my questions are:

    • How can I save my all remembered passwords and cookies from Firefox to a file ?

    • How can I import the Information from this file to Firefox after format?

All data in Firefox is stored in its Profile. You can find where the profile is located by going to your options menu (right of the search bar), click on the question mark, and view Troubleshooting Information. There, in Application Basics, you can view your profile folder.

If you are also looking for that for Google Chrome, just look up Chrome Profile locations, google will help you there.

So if you've got Firefox remembering your credentials for passwords, and you know where that password file is located, how exactly do you change those credentials if you entered them incorrectly and Firefox doesn't re-prompt you for it... ? The credentials look encrypted.

Tools -> Options -> Security -> Saved Passwords.

    You can change them there.

you can delete them, then re-enter.

You can do at JonT and barrponto said, or you can usually clear the recent history, cache, active logins and cookies, log into the site in question and when you login, you'll be prompted to change update your information for that site.

It happens to me switching between my Gmail and Google apps all the times. It always wants me to update my info after the cookie expires or I clear it and login with the other account, but it works for a single account if you clear the info.
