software rec - Configuring TortoiseHg for Bitbucket in Ubuntu

    I have installed TortoiseHg on Ubuntu and created an account at Bitbucket. I am configuring an SVN for the first time for my grad project. Can any one help as to how to configure TortoiseHg with bitbucket so that I can check in files. Is there an alternate SVN provider-client combination I can setup easily.

    Cinelerra is by the far the most comprehensive I've ever used. I've used other programs and always felt restricted by what I can do in some way. Cinelerra literally does everything I can think of. It's got a steep learning curve though, so be ready to follow some complex tutorials. (It also has a habit of crashing occasionally, so save regularly)

    It comes in two versions:
    1) The official version from heroine warrior (Version 4)
    2) The community edition (Based on version 2.1 of the official version)

    There is also an upcoming rewrite from the guys responsible for the community edition called lumiera, but it's not finished yet.

    Personally I use the community edition.

    I didn't find any video editing software for linux that can perform a quick and efficient cut and paste of some video track, like windows movie maker or iMovie in OSX - except Blender. A lot of people says that Cinelerra is the best one, but it has an user interface that only a mother could love, and everything is really too complex. The other programs, like KDENlive, AviDemux, Kino never really worked in my system. May be it's my fault, but at the moment I think there isn't a good video editing software for linux. Except Blender, as I said.

    I konw that to use a whole 3d animation suite just for basic video editing is a little bit insane, but really, it is the only one that works: look at this tutorial.

    I've tried AviDemux recently and it looks fine to me.
