Well this is frustrating, I don't know if the problem is with the software or hardware but I'm facing it with Iball WebCam Face2Face C8.0 (Rev.3.0), was using it on windows 7, With skype and even with Iball driver Imaging software, Sometimes it Works as soon as I boot up but plenty time it fails, I rarely can use it for video chat or for clicking images, most of the time it says it is used by Another application, but yet I'm not able to find which is the application It is using? I also feel that changing camera is not the option cause It works sometimes Please help, I'm using windows 8.1 32 bit.

P.S: I tried this solution but yet its hard to find the process, I dont know if I am doing something wrong,

Cam being used by another application

I tried registry but it fails cause registry values mentioned on this following path does not even exist on my registry.

drivers - Mic/Audio doesn't work when using Webcam
  • J Kao

I recently got a Thinkpad T420 laptop with a webcam. The audio and microphone work fine as long as I'm not using the webcam. However, when I use a program like Skype or Windows Live Messenger to video chat, the programs say that the audio/mic don't work. Does anyone have clues as to what to do in this situation?

Sounds like whenever the webcam is activated, all sound our your system is killed. You mentioned audio in Chrome but just to make sure, if you are listening to music does it also die when the webcam turns on?

Best piece of advice: update your drivers. Go to Lenovo's support site and install the latest drivers for your webcam (look for "Integrated Camera Driver" under Multimedia if you can't find it). While you are there, install the latest drivers for your soundcard as well.
