How can I stop chrome from scrolling the whole document when I reach then end of an inner, scrollable element?

    It always bugs me when I scroll through a textbox on a webpage, and when I scroll past the end of that box, chrome scrolls the containing window.

    For example, on udacity.com there is a text editor which can scroll and the containing page can also scroll. I often have to scroll through long sets of text in the editor and I'm constantly scrolling past the end accidentally and scrolling the whole page.

    How can I configure Chrome so the mouse scroll only works on the element my mouse is over, and doesn't get passed up to the next scrollable element when I reach the end?

    When I catch up on tweets, I like to click interesting links and carry on reading my feed, while the pages linked to load. That worked fine in Firefox, but now in Chrome, whenever I click a link on a tweet, Chrome grabs the focus. This is driving me crazy. How can I stop this?

    Check out TweakUI, I couldn't live without it. It has the option to prevent applications from stealing focus:

    Keep in mind though this doesn't work all the time. Software developers have a lot of nifty tricks that they use to get their windows into focus. I find it works for most things, let me know how it goes with Chrome!
