osx - How to remember position in official mac twitter client?
2013-07
I read twitter often on my mac and using official client for OSX. After relaunch client I will see not that place where I were before quit. But it's awful :( Does anyone know how I can do that?
I know that TweetBot can do that, but clients for iPhone and iPad could do it, why client for mac can't or how to set it up for that?
Thanks.
IIRC the OSX client just can't do that. Although you could just leave it open and it should have the same effect.
It might also be worth pointing out that support for the official Twitter client for OSX has been/will be dropped, so now would be a good time to look for an alternative. See this: http://isource.com/2012/09/07/twitter-in-turmoil-report-claims-twitter-to-drop-support-for-official-mac-client/

I did some research, and all I found for windows were twitter clients that require either adobe Air or .Net.
What I want is a twitter client that doesn't require ANY additional install, just double click on the .exe file and it works 2 minutes later.
is there such twitter client on windows?
You could use Cheebow (download link if you don't know Japanese):
- Native and written in Delphi
- Pretty responsive
- Requires no prequisites
- Only one catch: no English UI, only Japanese
I guess no English-speaking/international developers have ever thought of coding a native Twitter client.
If you don't mind .NET, another good client which supports English is Tween.
- Older versions only require .NET 2.0
- Versions after 0.9 require .NET 3.5.
I actually use twitter through a plugin for Pidgin. Since I use it for all of my chats anyway, it was just most logical to extend my existing environment
The new Seesmic for Windows looks good:
It's a native app that's designed to fit into Windows well. Looks pretty nice as well!
