Cannot "save as" file on Microsoft Excel and Word 2007 running on Vista Home Premium edition

I have Excel and Word 2007 running on Vista home premium edition. After working on a new file and try to "save as" just before naming the file, a window pops up 2 dialog messages "Search online to resolve this problem or Close the program".

If you choose online help, the program will go to Microsoft website and return with a saved file recovery. Can use the file (file was named as the first cell contents name and the rest of your work is still there).

This problem also applies to Word 2007 on the same pc. No issues if you open and work on an existing file. Microsoft indicates background virus protection program preventing this but I don't use any and the Microsoft defender was also disable. Have been using both program for the last few years without any problem.

I don't go on line playing games or downloading junk stuff as I use it only for my work.

What seems to be causing this problem?

Use Microsoft excel sheet feature in Microsoft Word

In Microsoft Excel they have a sheets feature where I can make many sheets in one document. That helps me a lot by keeping various related data in separate sheets but in one file.

I want a similar thing in Microsoft Word, where I can have various sheets or various data sheets but in single document. Currently, I have to create different files for each different data.

Is it possible to do this?

Go to Insert -> Table -> Excel Spreadsheet

    enter image description here

Now you have the spreadsheet embedded in Word. You can add as many as you want. To edit double click it.

You can use the document embed feature of Word . Word saves the child document inside the parent document.
