Chrome and Firefox will not stop loading Google Docs

When I view any Google Docs document in Chrome, the tab will not stop loading. It loads, stops for a second, then starts loading again and as far as I can tell does not stop. The "x" button does not stop the process (and sometimes is not even available despite the loading icon), nor does Escape, and reloading does not help. This also happens in Firefox.

The animated "loading" icon on the tab and the "Waiting for docs.google.com"/"Transferring data from google.com" status messages are driving me nuts. Does anyone know how to stop this in either browser (preferably Chrome)? I don't want to have to resort to IE every time I write.

Adding docs.google.com to the AddPlus whitelist does the trick.

firefox - Is there a way to "pre-load" Awesomebar with all my Google Docs?

It's convenient to just type the title of a Google Doc and see it pop up in the Awesomebar, but it only works for docs I've opened in the last month or so. Is there a way to pre-load all the doc titles into awesomebar permanently, or have them show up as bookmarks the way delicious bookmarks show up? An extension or something?

If you bookmark all of your Docs, they will show up in the awesome bar. You may also want to try gDocsBar, a Firefox extension which allows you to drag and drop multiple files into the sidebar to upload documents. You can even search and filter documents from the sidebar itself:
