Windows 8 - How do I sign in to Calendar with my Microsoft account?
2013-11
I first opened calendar in Windows 8 and it asked me to sign-in my Microsoft account. I tried a couple times but it said wrong password. Therefore, I clicked cancel. How can I try again now? Is there no way now for me to sign-in and reap whatever benefits that brings to me? I am using Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation.
From the Start menu do a search for users. make sure you search under "Settings" click on the USERS result which should take you to the PC Settings. from here you can setup and link your accounts this is where it pulls your calendar info from not the calendar app itself if that makes sense.
I have figured it out. Microsoft seems to be hiding even app settings into the settings charm in the charms bar. To access the accounts interface: go to the charms bar. click settings. click account. You may now make any account related changes.
I'm able to add multiple g-calendars from multiple accounts, but it appears that only the root calendar is synced with Windows 8's Metro Calendar app. Is there a way to sync all gmail calendars?
From a question I asked:
Someone posted a working solution on Microsoft Answers:
- Download User Agent Switcher from the Chrome Webstore
- Select an iOS device
- Go to https://m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/welcome?source=mobileproducts
- Deactivate Javascript in Settings (
Show advanced settings
,Privacy
>Content settings
>Do not allow any site to run JavaScript
) - Click your Windows Mail device
- In the URL change
supportMultiCalendars=false
tosupportMultiCalendars=true
- Submit URL (Press Enter)
- Check the boxes for the calendars you'd like to sync
- Save
- Readd your Google Account to your Windows Calendar app. It now works.
- (Re-enable JavaScript in Chrome)
Easiest fix is just to import each Google Calendar into a hotmail account. Then when you add this account to the Windows 8 Calendar app not only do they all appear, but they are still organized by color.
This seems to have changed again:
- Using Google Chrome, ensure you are signed in to Google
- Add User-Agent Switcher from the Chrome Web Store
- From the face icon that appears in the toolbar select iPhone
- Go to https://m.google.com/sync
- All of your devices should now appear (Windows 8 is known as WindowsMail)
